Norester 6157 is an orthophthalic unsaturated polyester resin dissolved in styrene, thixotropic and pre-accelerated, with the catalysis indicator. Also available in a Low Styrene Emission version.
Norester 6157 has been designed for GRP for general purpose and for boat building. The resin can be applied either by manual stratification or spraying.
Available in various gel times and in the following versions: TA, TAE, TAX, TAEX.
Norester 6157 TA and Norester 6157 TAX are certified by Lloyd’s Register for marine industry.
Moreover, the special chemical composition of the Norester 6157 TAX and Norester 6157 TAEX series guarantees good compatibility and wettability with fibreglass; the particular acceleration system guarantees a high degree of polymerisation, fast curing time and rapid removal of piece from the moulds with moderate exotherm peak.
The resin gives good mechanical resistance characteristics to GRP.
